Dakota Brown

Senior UX Designer

As a Senior UX Designer, Dakota brings a unique blend of industry and academic experience to Popular Front’s User Experience team.

Prior to arriving at PF, Dakota served as a Mobile UX Researcher within the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Mobile Technologies Group. While with the MTG, Dakota conceived, prototyped, and developed mobile experiences for clients of the lab’s industry part Nurun | Ant Farm Interactive including Auto Trader, L'Oreal, The Georgia Aquarium, and more. Also during this time Dakota was a semi-finalist in the AT&T & Nokia Siemens Networks’ IMS Research Competition.

Since arriving at Popular Front in 2007, Dakota has successfully infused a user-centric, behavioralist approach to a variety of engagements for clients such as General Mills, Hasbro, and the Cleveland Clinic.

In his free time, Dakota continues to pursue his academic interests of game design and mobile user experience and has designed several mobile-enabled, ludic experiences for various conferences and festivals.

Dakota's next article “4 Key Principles of Mobile UX” will be published by Boxes & Arrows in the summer of 2009. Additionally, he will be contributing several entries to Greenbush Press’ upcoming volume “The Encyclopedia of Video Games” in 2010.
