Why “Man in Mirror?”

The masses have spoken. The official theme song of Michael Jackson’s death is Man in the Mirror as shown by the Top Song sales charts on both iTunes & Amazon (below). From a personal standpoint, I’m a bit meh… I recognize MJ’s place(s) in history, but never felt any sort of affinity towards them. If you want to know how I feel, I suggest taking a look at this. It is however an interesting, and relatively new phenomenon, to be able to monitor the capitalistic mourning of the masses in such detail.

So to the people who actually resonate with MJ’s passing, why “Man in the Mirror?”
