Who are you upsetting?
Seth Godin is speaking at the MIMA Summit this year. His book “Tribes: We need you to lead us” is a fascinating read where he breaks down the success of movements in today’s hyper-marketed world to “finding something worth changing and leading that change by connecting tribes that spread ideas.” In his TED talk on the same subject he continues the emphasis on creating a movement by challenging the status quo. He posits: “Who are you upsetting, who are you connecting and who are you leading?”
I’m excited to hear his keynote. I feel like I’ve lived this dynamic as a software professional my entire career and believe it is the essence of the success of Interactive Marketing over the status quo.
