Using the Internet as Exquisite Corpse
One of my favorite design-related blogs, Sub-Studio, has started a collaborative illustration project via the net that reminds me of the Surrealists’ game Exquisite Corpse (http://bit.ly/TAKZ). They created six drawing “seeds” (i.e. a jar, a boot, etc), then asked illustrators to complete the drawing in any way they’d like (within a few simple rules). Their works are then posted online. It’s fascinating to see what each illustrator contributes, and you can join the fun, too (instructions on the site). A virtual Exquisite Corpse; all that’s missing is a little absinthe.

All that’s EVER missing, is a little absinthe. At least at my house…
Silly Surrealists.
Personally, I find the Situationists to be far superior game designers.
I like the Futurists. Their games usually end in death by motorcycle.
