The C-Team

In the fall of 2008, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men and women promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Twin Cities underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as athletes of fortune competing in the most overrated sport of their time, softball.

Their time together was short lived, playing only six softball games. Some believe the reason for such few matches was that each member had a second secret life they were leading. It’s believed they were film critics, salesman and carpenters, while others were photographers and painters working under pseudonyms right under societies noses’. Their busy schedules along with the constant threat from the military meant they had to forego any training usually done by teams of their repute. The strenuous schedule ultimately had an impact on their fate winning only zero games. The last time they were seen together was on September 18, 2009 at the legendary Park Tavern in the Old Town.

Not pictured is the elusive 14th commando, Adam “Bucking Bronco” Ziskin (aka “Hollywood”). It is a well known fact that Bucking Bronco was captured by the Colonel Morrison and his squad near Savage, MN earlier this year. Nobody knows of his current whereabouts, but is rumored that he died before a firing squad. His last words may or may not have been “I lived my life from the A to the Z biatch!

Recently, speculation over the return of the remaining members has erupted in the local softball media. Over the past 2 weeks there have been many unsuccessful attempts by fans to reunite The C-Team. There has been no formal statement made by The C-Team’s spokesperson, Chad McFlurry.

The world will just have to wait.
