Michelob Twitter PR

I came across Michelob’s Twitter profile today and I thought it was a good example of a company using Twitter. The company responds to all messages towards it and has a very friendly tone. A majority of the questions they receive are about where their beer is available regionally, but some others include whether their product is vegan:

@bvp663 w/ 2 exceptions, Michelob beers *do not* contain any animal ingredients (milk, eggs, etc) or process aids, ie, isinglass or gelatin

and here’s an example of a informal, friendly tweet:

@dancapostagno At this time, there are no plans to extend to any other brands. btw, I like the “lava lamp” reference, groovy!

I remember from a while back when Twitter was just starting to explode in popularity and Comcast’s Comcast Cares profile showed up on Twitter. What is really great about the Comcast Twitter page is that an actual person is linked to it. His name is Frank Eliason and he answers all sorts of questions. I think this is pretty genius, especially since if you spend any time on the internet searching the word “Comcast” you’re sure to find plenty of people complaining about their service. With Frank Eliason at Twitter people have some one they can easily complain to and ask for help. Its also great to just get a name and face identified with a company instead of the company being a huge faceless hierarchy.

Anyone else have good examples of companies using social media?
