Dave Arneson Fails Saving Throw (R.I.P)
Dave Arneson, co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons & local legend, has passed away at the age of 61.
It doesn’t really matter if you’re a card-carrying tabletopper, you maybe dabbled once or twice in high school, or even if you feel awkward by the geekiness of this email.
Arneson, in adapting Gary Gygax’s fantasy army rulesets to allow players to control a single character, created a foundation that most modern virtual worlds and videogaming own homage to. Simply put, he was a legendary game designer.
Cards and letters can continue to be sent:

In honor of Mr. Arneson it’s time for me to acknowledge that, not only did I play D&D, but I played often. There, I’ve finally come out of the dungeon, who else will join me?
