Ten Second Film Festival
07.04.09
What could be more fun than fireworks on the 4th of July? A Ten Second Film Festival, of course. Check it out!
The fourth of July is a day to celebrate our history, our heritage, and our inalienable right to create as many dubiously crafted, low tech films as we damn well please. In this spirit, the Ten Second Film Festival is back for a fifth summer. The festival, which drew 3000 eager movie-goers last year, is an event for both the amateur and immature; the talented and the unfortunate; the virtuoso and the accidental artist. Whether you’re a film connoisseur or a recreational viewer your film likely has a place in the lineup.
That’s because this raucous, outdoor festival is created entirely by people like you, using mostly alternative video technologies (like cell phones or cameras with a video function). The result is a film festival that assaults you with some of the silliest, funniest, weirdest and most thought-provoking ten second-long films you’ll see all summer.
The Soap Factory’s Ten Second Film Festival takes place after the St. Anthony Main fireworks on the 4th of July. Do you want to be part of a lighthearted film festival that draws 3000 revelers each year? Do you want a chance to win a delicious Grumpy’s burger for a mere ten seconds of work? Then submit your film by Monday, June 1 and join us for an epic screening on July 4.
